We have to remember how the virus spreads.
As long as your client does not have a house full of people coughing and sneezing all over the place, and they promise not to lick your tools, their home should be a relatively safe place to work. Of course you have to promise not to come into their home and start sneezing, coughing and you will not lick their TV remote control. All should be fine for you to do your job.
If clients with resi construction projects are concerned, the GC could always slow the project down a bit by having only specific trades on site at a time. Keep the numbers of workers low, and everyone can do their thing without having to work on top of each other.
I have been reading that the virus is viable in the air for 72 hours, this coming from medical professionals. That means I don't want to go to a lot of places where large numbers of people have passed through.
