What has changed on Sonos though to mandate sunsetting older products? What’s the difference in connects made pre 2015 and those after? In the case of URC products, as far as I am aware of, they could always explain the reasons for such actions. For example like when Microsoft changed the way USB devices connect and msc400’s could no longer be updated. It was beyond their control.
Memory. They changed guts in production without changing the model, probably should have changed the model, but people wouldn't have bought old stock by not knowing.
Similar answer we got regarding the Play 3, it's 2 years newer, larger memory chip.
What's changed; sales, competition, their roadmap, streaming services roadmap, stock performance, lawsuit, bleeding money, tariffs, anybody's guess.
