Thanks everyone for chiming in on this thread it was really helpful trying to solve my issue.
In regards to the upper threads on the back of the TV, I found that some #12-24 fasteners went in pretty well and were able to get the job done. So if anyone has lost their adapters, I used an 1.25" long #12-24 pan head machine screw to get the job done.
