Iv'e used Araknis exclusively for the last 3 years, primarily because of OVRC.... There have been a few hiccups, but overall I'm happy. Could things be better? sure, what couldn't? With the Snap/Control4 merger, maybe we'll see some of the network products cross populate. It'll take a while as current and I'm sure next gen are all in pipeline and so they won't want to waste all the RnD until 2021....
As a matter of protocol, I use the 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 DNS settings in everything and try to segregate (VLAN) control from cams from customer add-ons (lights/door cams/any other freebees that they ad on without telling anyone..etc... so far so good.
