Not to quote Ernie, but this was one of those situations where providing more details and model numbers, would have helped.
You are correct, the HS17 (Genie 2) system with do 7 streams at once. So something is wrong in the system. My best guess without knowing ANY details about the system is, someone didn't upgrade the LNB (or switch system) to accommodate the amount of tuners needed. Hence not enough SWM channels for all the boxes.
Just my guess.
She does have the old system and he was asking about upgrading to the new system.
Thats what I got out of the question anyway....
