I've used the Sonance discrete opening units. They look nice, but you'll need the sub for sure. Also, they require the use of their reconstruction platforms for the finish to be right, and those aren't exactly cheap so you don't want to forget about them. You gotta stay on top of the finishing to make sure they look good.
