Look at where the opioids and other drugs come from and who is the largest consuming country.
The lower 50% of the country averages about $2K/month. They have people working part time, so more are 'employed', but they don't gross as much as a full-time worker.
The murder rate, as in every other crime, is because of the people, not just the weapons. The US has more people, therefore, more murders.
If they have 1/4 the murders, that's a problem because they have 1/5 the US population.
Actually, France's healthcare costs is around 240 Billion a year. That's about 4000 per person. OTOH, US healthcare costs is about 10,500 a person. So France is only 40% of our costs. Thanks for playing our game.
