I'm still going to keep looking for HDMI-to-USB option as that would allow me to use my laptop and not having to deal with 2nd display getting tossed/broken in the van.
What's I'm finding is somewhat pricy due to the fact that most use it as gaming displays, therefore low lag is a concern.
For me, I wouldn't care about lag, color accuracy, etc.

I will admit that the option of using a portable monitor for 2nd display for my laptop is growing on me.
