As for dropping Martina over her comments, they did what the Left always does: instead of replying directly to the issues, they said something hatred and ostracized the person who brought up the facts.

Look, the word doesn't even mean a person is phobic. It's is used as a name for feelings and acts hate, not fear.

Ernie,

Did you misplace your dictionary?

Google the word. You get:
having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against homosexual people.
"homophobic remarks"

Merriam Webster has
irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals

This is a PC definition from a rather conservative source. They cite fear, not because it's how homophobia expresses itself, but because of the etymology of the word.

But show me a headline that shows people doing anything that is a demonstration of fear, such as running away from.
Wikipedia has
Homophobia encompasses a range of negative attitudes and feelings toward homosexuality or people who are identified or perceived as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. Wikipedia

Again, no fear shown; instead, hatred.

It's time for a short discussion of Merriam Webster. There's another word that has TOTALLY changed its meaning over the years, but MW gives the now obsolete definition as the first definition:

Decimate
: to select by lot and kill every tenth man of, as in "decimate a regiment"

This definition is NEVER what anybody means by decimate today, nor for at least the last thirty years.
2 : to exact a tax of 10 percent from; "poor as a decimated Cavalier."
— John Dryden

There we go. John Dryden died in 1700. When's the last time you heard the word "Cavalier"? It's as obsolete as the cited meaning.
3a : to reduce drastically especially in number; "cholera decimated the population"
Kamieniecki's return comes at a crucial time for a pitching staff that has been decimated by injuries.
— Jason Diamos

Jason Diamos is, at least, still alive. This is not an antique citation.
b : to cause great destruction or harm to; "firebombs decimated the city, "an industry decimated by recession"

Don't depend on Merriam Webster for the current meaning of a word!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
