Rack has a midspan w/ power supply feeding 4 UniFi AP Long Range access points. At one AP, ethernet needs to be extended. Would like to use a switch that is powered by the POE midspan and passes POE power through to the AP. The 2nd port which will extend ethernet does not need power.
UniFi shows POE requirements of 24 volts. Do any powered switches other than UniFi provide the correct voltage for this AP? I think UniFi switch needs to be configured - customer wants to be able to plug and play and connect himself. I don't mind keeping away from this. Is there a switch or other product that will allow him to do it without my help?
