8K's are available now, why not sell them and make some $$? More are coming down the pipeline, the LG OLED's looked amazing and I bet there will be some margin on them. Prices were not released when I saw them at CES so I cannot confirm. Sony will also be releasing a couple models I posted about in a different thread here on RC. Ironically my post was pretty similar to a CePro or Resi systems article, which I read after my post.
Just how much margin do you think the 8ks will have? I don’t expect them to have anymore than the 4ks when they were new. Sure Sony’s are better than others, but have one bad tv and the profit on it is gone dealing with the warranty.
On a related note, Sunday I listened to a podcast on security issues. According to the host, the tv manufacturers have finally even killed their own profit margin on TVs. Their strategy now is to sell your data collected from the smart TVs.
