The problem with the ring elite is that it needs to be recessed...But otherwise, it looks nice...

If you remember a few months ago, I brought up a thread about trying to fit one in an old Nutone box at my mom's house. It ended up working really nicely and I was impressed with everything about the Ring Elite...it's on a whole different level from the other pieces of garbage they make...I'll see if I can find a pic.

Nope.  Can't find a pic...since the Nutone doorbell was bigger than the Ring..I used the plate from the Nutone cut out the middle of it and installed the Ring.  Worked out perfectly....almost looked like I knew what I was doing.

But it also needs to be wired.....with a Cat5, it works on POE.
