I'm having trouble with Apple TV taking a long time to sync on a 2 Zone HDMI matrix in a Yamaha amp. All other 1080p video source no problem. Even when I set Apple TV to 1080p the syncing can be very slow. You're saying if the Apple TV loses power it will also lose the 1080p setting?. A couple of times I saw the message asking if I want to try 4K HDR without it having rebooted. It would be nice to figure out a trick to fix this or else I'll just scrap the Apple TV and use built in Smart TV.
