I have a $40 four foot folding table that's pretty neat. See it at [Link: homedepot.com]. I also have a six foot version of the same thing.

The four foot table can be set to three different heights. If you get one I can describe a pretty simple way to set the heights. That might be in the instructions.... but I didn't read those.
