You are correct, the wiring is wrong. Totally screwed up a simple ground connection LOL!
I hope the covers are nearby, those have to go on to be compliant. Which also means the electrical wiring has to be redone anyway, since it has to be pulled back and put thru a proper knockout with bushings.

I highly doubt the installers who put the shades in did 'any' remote programming at all. I would be willing to bet that some of the shades are going to need to be remounted as well. Because they did a 1/2 arse job. It was Joe & Bob for $10 an hour as quick as they could.

I say that from a very similar experience. Had a customer get some Somfy shades from an interior decorator, then the decorator had some handyman idiots put them in for the customer. These were battery powered ones. Several shades wouldn't work correctly (the RF range is pretty bad) and one of the shades fell out of the window and busted. Really crappy workmanship.
Customer just had me fix what was there; no integration done.
