Ask your specialist about the possibility of wearing an appliance vs. CPAP. I was diagnosed with "moderate" apnea and am having a mandibular advancement device made. These are supposedly effective in dealing with mild (5 - 14 episodes per hour) and moderate (15 - 30 episodes per hour) apnea. If you're in the range these are far preferable to a CPAP.
