I've been in the industry for about 14 years. I started working part time for a small local company and that turned into a full time job. This company had been doing CI since the early 70's. The things I learned there have been invaluable. We actually "manufactured" our own speakers (including in-wall). The owner would design the speakers and we would build crossovers, baffle plates or enclosures, and wood framed in-wall grills.
That company went out of business about 10 years ago and I (along with another former employee) started a company. We do anything from 6 figure systems (not very many) to simple TV installations. Our control products are Savant, AMX, RTI, and URC.
I have been coming to this site ever since I started programming RC5000 remotes. Over the last few months I've been looking through the forums and I've gained a lot of knowledge and had a lot of laughs. I hope to be able to join-in and contribute.
