So, no need to reframe a wall if you use an 18-20" x 14-1/4" wide media box, a la Snap, Open House, and others.

The One Connect heavyweight measures 15-1/2" wide, 2-3/4" tall, and 6" deep.

The "deep" measurement has the HDMI connectors, One Connect jack, RJ-45, and optical connector, so leave a few inches extra there.

I'm going to leave it open.
TV will cover it and I don't have to mess with cover pushing TV away from the wall.

On jobs where they'll be hanging TV like a picture (tilting away near the top) that might change things.

Keep the cover in the equipment room for when they remove the TV (repair, change of product, etc.) so you have an option to cover the ugly enclosure.
