I don't know if it's related, but I had terrible problems with one of my computers being slow when I was using Chrome- not responding and just pissing me off to the point that I wanted to Frisbee it through a window. I started seeing FireFox activity on the task bar and it became more frequent, then I was seeing FireFox trying to update, even though I haven't used it in months. I uninstalled FireFox and whaddayano, my computer is working very nicely- it hasn't done any of the things that were so annoying.
