I’ve come to trust the feedback of this group on about any topic, so I’ve got a bit of a different one, even for OT topics. My son has won the Dutch oven competition the last two years at a Cub Scout weekend camp that’s in the fall. This year will be his final year in cub scouts, and he wants to make it number three. Since last fall I’ve been searching for a new recipe for him. I realized today that the way our summer is going, there aren’t many weekends left where he can try out something new. It needs to be something that can be prepped and cooked in an hour and a half. Anyone have anything?

Aside from Chili, stews and cobbler, what has he cooked in it, so far? Is he putting embers on the top, or just hanging it over the fire?

Here's a link for some recipes- if it was Winter, I think the Chicken & Dumplings would be good. Last time I made that, the dumplings could have been used as weapons.
