We use the Niles DBI on most of our projects with Connects and the Sonance 1250 amp that has an AUX input that ducks the music. This is a great solution for us. The DBI will also accept the trigger from a Nest Hello if you use the Nest door chime interface (included with Hello) or from the relay on a Doorbird.
For the OP, how about this:

So he's looking to expand on the number of SONOS zones in his home and I was planning on putting in a 12-50 amp. I didn't mention this just to simplify the scope of the post.
I originally thought the manual didn't mention if the BUSS sources could be output to a zone in addition to the local source, but I now see that the multiple inputs can be connected to each output! Do you just use BUSS A and then set the switches to LOCAL and BUSS A for each output? Does the amp automatically give priority to BUSS A and duck LOCAL when there is audio on BUSS A?
This would be an awesome solution with the DBI!
