In most cases, it pops up for just a second or two and then goes away. Is the message staying on screen for an extended time? I assume the Roku unit has been power-cycled?

It's connected directly to the Sony HDMI input, no AVR
Not sure, but the client said he can't watch Netflix or Amazon. I have no idea what can or can't be watched.
I'm headed to the site now, so no the Roku hasn't been power cycled.
