I tell customers to never turn OFF the cable box and warn them that a visitor might track down the box and turn it OFF anyway. While this seems crude, it has not been an issue.
I've heard that cable box updates often leave the box off. It's nice to know this is not universal.
I did work out that 110 was the right code set for most things, and the power command in 74 works. Thanks for the info.
