I predict very little done on the laptop but some interesting ideas on the blueprints with highlighters.
When they don't know of a box to work in, you will get many ideas 'outside of the box'.
I would second this.
The ideas that kids have when it comes to home design is very out of the box but at the same time brings a different perspective to ideas. They think of the "cool kid things" that most of us don't think about.
A 13 year old has a lot of knowledge although may not be in the industry box, what she comes up with will be quite astonishing. She will most likely miss the simple area lights but will come up with great ideas to place accent lights that you would never have thought about.
Pick her brain when she's done to figure out why she wanted lights in areas that you would not have put them. Her ideas will be interesting and may help you with ideas for future lighting projects.
