I'm not trying to knock Araknis gear...I really like it...I've just had issues with it with sonos and dropping the Araknis router has solved the issues another way than keeping it and using managed switches as you suggest.

There is a reason Sonos took several years to allow the products to be placed solely on WIFI with no Sonosnet. It just didn't/doesn't work as reliably. It can be close, but it's my experience that if it's a decent sized Sonos job, I'm still wiring amps/connects in and/or utilizing bridges. Rock solid no matter the network.
