But I personally still hate voice control. Anything that I have to be careful of what I say, learn to talk a different way, or deal with listening to others tell me that; I will pass. I unplugged the echo and google home devices I was testing months ago. And no one in my house has missed it.
Right after 9/11, one of the cries we heard was "this isn't going to make us live differently." Well, it did. We have to be careful what we say. Especially at the airport, we have learned to talk a different way (For instance, "Bruno Mars! He's da BOMB!")
Isn't it strange that people are lining up to take electronic systems into their homes, over which they ultimately have no control, that monitor every word being said?
Me, I'd like to get on an airplane without having to go through the ritual of wiping the floor with my stocking feet while everybody else wipes the floor with theirs, as well. I'd like to be able to say what I want to say inside my home, too.
I got a DOT for Christmas. I'm now finally going to go about setting it up. And ooh... it has blue LEDs! I'm IN ! ! !
