For HDMI runs of 50'+, I typically use Snap's B-540-EXT-230-IR (or the next model up for the longer runs) over shielded cat6.  They are approx mid $400s MSRP.

For more reliability and higher bandwidth, I recently got some recommendations on this forum for extenders that use multimode fiber.  These recommendations were great, but cost in the $1k range and require field termination of fiber.

If I want to stick to the ~$400 range and avoid field termination of fiber, can I still get improved reliability and simplified installation using an optical-based HDMI solution?  Is this what I could expect from Celerity?

I see this 100' optical cable from Legrand, but the ends are not detachable, and I hate the idea of non-replacable ends.

Monoprice also seems to have a line of these products.

Overall, I feel like there are many optical-based HDMI solutions popping up, and I'm just trying to get a handle on them.

If it's not simple, it's not sufficiently advanced.
