Check with a scrap metal recycle place.
Most will take, and pay you for the AVR's, DVD players, VCR's, and cables. I have one here that will take most anything along those lines, so I recycle anything metal and make a few bucks for my time messing with it.
Any of it have any function, put it up on Ebay starting at $.01 with no reserve. Let Fleabay determine shipping cost, and you'll get rid of some of that crap. Might actually make a dollar or two...LOL
