I also have issues with Marantz and the Apple TV.
Got a SR-5012 with supposedly handles it but it won't work. Got a 35ft active cable to a optoma 4k pj.
When hdmi is plugged directly to Apple TV it works fine. Through the Marantz it's a no go with any setting.
Annoying.
