I watched Ozark a couple months ago. I thought it was OK, but not fantastic. Netflix has been slipping.

Horses for courses perhaps?

I watched an episode and a half of GOT and gave up - not for me thank you. I also have similar feelings towards Breaking Bad, though this did manage a season and a half before I got bored.

Perhaps my expectations were overly enhanced by all the hype (my son doesn't think much of Stranger Things for similar reasons) so my watching Ozark without any preconceived ideas was, I believe, something of a boon.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though it has Jason Bateman (not a particular favourite of mine) as one of the lead characters - the excellent Peter Mullan, on the other hand, seems to have easily cornered the brooding, threatening villain market.

As for Netflix slipping - possibly, or at least the divide between what I watch and ignore seems to be increasing.

I enjoyed both series of Daredevil, Jessica Jones was okay, but I found Luke Cage and Iron Fist to be a little wishy-washy (I didn't finish either series). They recovered a little with The Defenders and I did enjoy The Punisher - probably because it was sans all the mystical tosh and nonsense. I also happen think that Star Trek: Discovery is better than what a number of commenter's would have us believe and I'm presently enjoying Godless

Other non-Netfix TV that I've enjoyed includes Westworld, Preacher, Taboo, The Grand Tour (even though I don't drive) and Bosch - the latter because the wife and I have enjoyed all the books. And talking of book adaptations, though it truly galls me to say it, there is one series one should avoid - Midwinter of the Spirit. The books are amazing: the TV mini series is an absolute travesty.
