I have redone some licensed electricians work as well as it was atrocious, wrong and dangerous. A license means NOTHING if they have no freaking idea how to do things right.
Well, this is kind of what I am trying to drill down to, that licensing doesn't make anybody an expert, more qualified, more careful, or more thorough. If you do work properly, it will likely be done better than many homes get done nowadays, and there will be no liability fears.
