Amazing idea. I didn't think of that either.

The few outdoor TV installs I've done have been on the exterior wall of the house, or at least within a 50ft HDMI of the source. This is the first time I'll have implemented an extender outdoors so all of this input is very valuable to me.

This is a new build and at this time I'm outfitting the house. Landscaping won't be done until the spring and so I'm planning it now.


A bit of thread drift here:

I'll be offering the client outdoor TV options which will include a proper outdoor TV, but how do the extenders fair in an all weather installation? Ok as long as they are in an enclosure, or would it be wise to bring this stuff in as part of the winterization of the pool area?

I'm in SW Ontario. It gets to be about -30c (-20F) here in the winter.
