I recently had a call from a cheapo contractor who thought that he could make some money by installing the wires himself -- why get me involved? He missed the point about active HDMI cables that there is an "in" and "out". He asked if I could swap ends. He's the type who would try wire nuts next. (Well, maybe not wire nuts, because he knows that I don't like them -- he'd use crimps)
Cheap contractor's are a real problem.
I loved them, since they were the source of very high dollar jobs. After all, fixing those huge screw ups should be expensive..
One I dealt with ran a single "lamp cord" from the head end to each speaker location. I asked if he wanted the left or the right channel....LOL
Yeah there was a solution, but it wasn't a great one.
Worst was the one the didn't have any coax or phone jacks installed.
