Yesterday, I did a full network upgrade for a client that got that stupid Ring flood light thingy.
I say stupid but once I installed APs around the house, the damn thing looked really nice.
He gets notifications on his phone, can watch live stream and has 2-way audio right from his phone.
If that damn thing works as advertised, I may need to look into this further and see if this is something I can recommend and make some money on, but like I said, we just did the network upgrade yesterday. Time will tell.
I have been keeping my eye on the Floodlight and their Spotlight- one version comes with a power cord, so it could be used as a temporary way to see what's happening and these two can be viewed in real time, unlike the doorbells (that may have changed since I looked at the original models).
