I have had Bose noise cancelling headphones for years. I just replaced the foam ear covers which wear out over time. They are part of my necessary gear for traveling along with a tablet for entertainment.

I tried the new Sony models and they were also nice- and Bluetooth. Nice not having cords to get tangled in on the jet.

Either way, it's a nice break from "society" on the plane. Unfortunately, this won't stop the 4 year old behind you from pushing your seat with his feet and the parents that are typically clueless.
