Rebooting receivers and SWMs are unfortunately something that has to be done with large systems. SWMs and receivers loose communication but a reboot will re-establish the communication.
We maintain many large commercial hotel systems in the mid-atlantic region. One property in DC has over 1200 receivers on the system. It is crazy working on a system that size. With a system that size there is constant problems with it. The manager complained to me that they have to reboot close to 20 receivers a day. When I explained to him that because of the number of receivers in the system that is like rebooting a receiver once every 60 days.
