You can turn off the audio of everything else on a PC, and probably on a Mac, too.

Whatever you do, get those microphones close to your mouth! It's tiresome and ultimately boring to listen to voices that sound like they're ten feet away in a men's room. Avoid echo in the audio by placing the mic near the mouth. At that place, the echo is much lower in volume than the voice, so you won't hear much echo. The room should also have something to absorb sound. At least a carpet and a sofa will help. Go for acoustics the opposite of a bathroom!
