Are you freaking insane? That won't work. Cardboard is liable to catch fire from the heat of the bulb. Use aluminum foil.
WTF? Are YOU insane?!!! You put the cardboard in front of the LENS...NOT THE BULB!
Now, maybe if you combined the magnifying glass with the cardboard and the lens, you might be catching something on fire....depends on the scene you are watching I suppose. :)
