I can't agree with the 990 assessment. I was highly disappointed in this remote. If you're looking for internal programming power, the variable options on the 890 are way more powerful. You can customize the 890 graphically (It takes a little more effort, but can be done). The 990 is a 980 with a facelift, so they don't have to software support the 980 anymore. It's old software in new hardware.
