Hi, I am thinking of purchasing a hard button remote to replace my MX-3000. It seems that buying a new one on ebay (the only alternative since I am in Norway) will cost me around USD 400 plus shipping +/- 10 % for either model. I have the CCP program at home (it came with a second hand MX-900 I bought, but never used).

I assume the programming of either is pretty much the same (and hopefully doable by an amateur with 20 years of Pronto and MX-3000 experience..?).

My research seems to suggest that the 890 is lighter and easier to use ergonomically, but that the 990 has more of a quality feel to it? Other than the 8 vs 6 hard buttons around the LCD screen, is there much of a difference between the two?
