Hello,

New to this forum and have a quick question for you all. I currently have a URC MX-880 remote that programs my home theater system in my basement. I have another TV/cable setup on my main floor that I want to be controlled by its own, separate 880-based system.

I'm wondering if there will be any interference issues with adding a second, separate 880-setup in close proximity to my existing setup, given that they'd both be using the 418mhz band. I called URC and they said there shouldn't be any issues so long as they are programmed correctly, but to me that assumes both setups won't be used simultaneously. I would like to have the flexibility of being able to use both at once (i.e. someone watching on the basement tv while someone else simultaneously using the main floor tv).

Are there any drawbacks to using a MX-880i remote/base station (433mhz band) for the second setup? What about a MX-880z setup (2.4ghz)? Or will I be okay with another 880 (418mhz) setup?

Thanks in advance for your help!
