What would you do if you needed multiple zones in a Sonos only job? Scatter them all around the house? All hard-wired to an unmanaged gigabit switch with SonosNet disabled has never once caused me a single network issue.
I Guess I just fail to see how a bunch of home run sonos boxes would ever need to be a "Sonos only" job.
We use Matrix Switches and the number of streams reasonable for the house. Usually Bluesound or Autonomics based.. But sometimes a sonos or 2.
I've never put more than 4 Sonos's in a home run location.... and somehow all my systems work too...
I'm clearly in the minority here though.. so I'll leave it at that.
