Just to clarify...The genie is 5 tuners on one cable connection. So in your case you need 2 ports, one for the genie and one for the client. A SWM dish and a 2-way splitter will get the job done. Or a regular dish, SWM16 switch, and 2-way splitter will also get the job done.
A SWiM 16 has 2 outputs. No splitter is required unless no home run to SWiM.
