I tried to read all of the posts here, but I don't think I have heard you say what the source of music will be. Is he going to play discs on a six disc CD changer? Are you going to dock an iPod? FM radio?
The sources they are wanting are Radio (either standard AM/FM or streaming using TuneIn) and SiriusXM. They didn't mention anything about Apple music (whether from an iDevice or through iTunes).
I guess you could use a couple RTI AD4 or AD8 amps with URC KP4000 touch panels. These would work easily, then put in some macros to give them 3 or 4 Comcast music channels. "You want old school, I'll give you old school!"
Looking at the AD4 and AD8 from what I can tell they don't offer the ability to share the sources with the wiring that is currently in place.
