Actually, no, I don't yet do that.

In this case, there are a couple of gotchas. First, the BD player can lock up if it's turned off when in the streaming mode. Removing power wouldn't take it out of that mode... would it then be a cure?

Also, if the BD player brings down the network, would I still have access to the IP controlled device? If I... put it on a different subnet, perhaps? Even if that's possible, there's no way in this house to run an added CAT cable to cover this.
