Bluray players in general I think lockup once in awhile and need resetting. This is just par for course. Even the OPPO's I've sold have locked up once in awhile and needed power cycled.

Never seen any Sony I've sold take down a network before. That's a new one to hear.
And I've only had a few Sony's actually die before. One under warranty, the others many years after install.
I recently upgraded a client that had some old Sony BDP-S300 I sold 10 years ago. All 3 were still working fine - man those things are slow compared to today however :)
