I'm using a Vanco audio extractor right at the Roku 4 and there's no delay. The instructions were backwards, though, as to whether an LED should be on or off. (There's a push button that toggles between two different modes of audio, indicated by the LED being on or off.)
The Sonos will introduce the delay, not the extractor. Setting the line in on the Connect to uncompressed will help some but sometimes it's still noticeable.
