I agree, but with some home automation UI editors, such as AMX TP4/5, it is all done in one program. You can group popup pages together and when you show one of them, the others automatically hide.

It is all done in simple drop down menus and those popups don't even need to reside on those pages.

All of the custom AMX work I have done for large residences used popups for everything. I think for new Crestron programmers, it may be easier to use full pages until they get the hang of how sub pages work in VTPro-e.

The same goes for something like RTI / ID. You can assign flags and hide show anything anywhere, but it takes a lot of flag management to make that happen. You can view all of your graphics with assigned hide / show variables in layers, so that does make life much easier when it comes to making changes.
