Vanco and Tributaries sell flexible cables that are more secure, too. The other ones that cause problems are the ones connecting a TV and AVR- too thick and stiff, which can be fixed using a port saver, but that risks causing problems with signal level.
I'm a huge fan of the Vanco series of cables. We specifically use the thinner ones and they rarely come loose. They don't have a locking mechanism but they aren't as loose as other brands once inserted, either.
