Can JAP do that and not screw up the audio? I did basically what you are saying with an hdbaset matrix that had dual outputs on each zone (cat to the display and hdmi to the avr in the rack) and it tried to knock the audio to 2 channel because of the display.
The cool thing with JAP is you can set what EDID to use.
